Mr. Tom Kelly is a 62 year old elderly man who just celebrated his birthday on November 9th. He did attend the Homeless for the Holidays event that just recently passed where he was offered warmth, food, and drink during the four day ongoing Food/Toy and Cash fund raising session.
Massachusetts: It is not very much harder to be nice to people than it is to be mean to people. This is only a short version of the interesting conversation that Mr. Tom Kelly and I shared this morning when I found him sitting on a chair at the front entrance of the Buzzards Bay Tavern where he is working on litter control. He could use a new winter coat. He is down to one glove and most likely could use a new pair of sneakers. He did mention that his right foot has been giving him a problem as of late and some of those heated hand and foot warmers would be nice. He currently sleeps in a camper with no heat, running water or electrical service. He told me where it is located but doesn't want anyone else to know. We discussed the sun being his main source of "Solar Energy" for the time being.
